Video Warrior Programs Inc. (“Video Warrior Programs”, “we” or “us”) has developed certain products and services (collectively referred to herein as the “Services” and individually referred to as a “Service”) with respect to providing video production services and providing tips and advice on how to create and/or sell your own video services. Video Warrior Programs respects your privacy rights and our obligations with respect to your privacy and maintenance of your personal information. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the information that we collect from or about users of the Services or this site (herein “user” or “you”), how we use it, and to whom we disclose it.

This Policy was last updated on May 28, 2020.  Video Warrior Programs reserves the right to revise this Policy at any time. Any changes to this Policy will be promptly communicated on this page, and will not go into effect until at least five (5) days after they are posted. You should review this Policy each time that you use a Service or this site. 


The prior knowledge and permission of an individual user is required for the collection, use or disclosure of that user’s personal information, except where it is inappropriate, impossible or impractical to do so. By using a Service or by providing information to us, a user signifies his or her consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with this Policy.  A user may change or withdraw consent to the collection, use or disclosure of his or her personal information at any time by contacting Video Warrior Programs’s principal at All communications regarding the change or withdrawal of consent must be in writing and addressed to our principal at that address.  Video Warrior Programs will inform a user if there are any implications to the change or withdrawal of consent, including any effect on Video Warrior Programs’s ability to provide the user with information, products or services.  

Accountability and Openness

Video Warrior Programs is responsible for personal information under its control and has established policies and procedures to effectively safeguard any confidential personal information that it has on file or which it collects, and to deal with complaints or inquiries. Video Warrior Programs only collects personally identifiable data when it is voluntarily submitted by users of a Service, and is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of its users’ personal information.  Video Warrior Programs will ensure that users have access to information regarding the policies and procedures that it uses to manage their personal information.  

Collection and Retention of Information 

For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” means any data that identifies a user as an individual or is capable of doing so, and does not include general, statistical or aggregated information.  

Video Warrior Programs collects personal information only to the extent that it is necessary for the purposes identified below. Personal information is collected using policies and procedures that are fair and lawful. We collect personal information when: 

  • a user requests information from us; 
  • a user signs up for a Video Warrior Programs Service; 
  • this site and certain Services’ may use information or data received or obtained from your device to determine your location; and
  • any other situation when a user otherwise contacts us and provides personal information.   

This information may include, but is not limited to, the user’s contact information (such as his or her name, address, email address and telephone number). Subject to any accounting or legal requirements, Video Warrior Programs will retain personal information only as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. Personal information that is no longer required will be destroyed, erased or made anonymous. Copies of deleted information may continue to exist on back-up media however.

Like many organizations’ websites, our web server automatically collects certain non-identifying information related to the user’s visit to the site, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the user’s computer, the IP address of the user’s Internet Service Provider, the type and version of the browser that the user is using, the date and time the user accessed the site, the Internet address of the website from which the user linked directly to our site, the operating system that the user is using, and the pages of the site that the user has visited. We make no attempt to link this information with the identity of individuals visiting the site. We may, however, review server logs and anonymous traffic statistics for business and security purposes, for example to monitor geographic locations of users or to detect intrusions into our network. The possibility exists that server log data could, in instances of criminal malfeasance, be used to trace and identify individuals. In such instances, raw data logs would be shared with appropriate investigative bodies authorized to investigate such security breaches.

If you provide comments or other feedback to us, you agree that such comments or feedback become the property of Video Warrior Programs, and we may use and disclose them for any purpose provided that we do not associate them with your personally identifiable information.

Purpose – Why We Collect, Use and Disclose Information

Video Warrior Programs will identify the purposes for which it collects personal information before or when it requests the information. Video Warrior Programs will not collect personal information which is not necessary and, except as specified below, will not use or disclose personal information for any purpose other than the purposes for which it was collected without first obtaining the user’s consent. The information that Video Warrior Programs collects is used and disclosed only for business purposes. These include:  

  • to open and operate an account for the user, if applicable;
  • to enable us to review a user’s request for information or Services so that we may better understand the user’s requirements, and to satisfy those requests;
  • internal market research;
  • to obtain feedback regarding the Services and our ability to address a user’s needs;
  • to create a record of the user’s involvement with Video Warrior Programs;
  • to protect us against error, fraud, theft or damage to the site, our business or our property;
  • to comply with any legal, accounting and regulatory requirements, including reporting requirements, applicable laws, and any search warrants, subpoenas or court orders; and
  • any other reasonable purpose for which the user provides consent.

We may collect, use or disclose a user’s personal information without the user’s knowledge or consent where we are permitted or required to do so by applicable law, government request or court order, or based on our good faith belief that it is necessary to do so in order to comply with such law, request or court order or to protect our assets, the users of the Services or the public.

Video Warrior Programs may share a user’s information with its affiliates, who will use it only in accordance with this Policy. A user’s personally identifiable information is never sold, and is not shared with third parties unless we provide the user with both prior notice and choice. 

Links to other Websites 

Our site may contain optional links to advertiser and other third party Internet sites and services. User acknowledges that these third parties may collect data from users or their computers. The accessing and use of such third party content and websites is at the user’s own risk, and Video Warrior Programs cannot assume responsibility for the privacy practices, policies or actions of the third parties who operate those websites. This Policy applies only to the Video Warrior Programs site, and we encourage all users to read the privacy policies contained on each Internet site or content provider that they visit or use. 

How Information Is Protected / Safeguards 

Video Warrior Programs maintains commercially reasonable security safeguards to protect a user’s personal information from loss and unauthorized access, theft, copying, use, modification or disclosure, regardless of the format in which the information is held. The safeguards applied will depend on the sensitivity of the personal information, with the highest level of protection given to the most sensitive personal information. In order to ensure that information is handled and stored in a confidential and secure manner, Video Warrior Programs uses user IDs, passwords, firewalls, and encryption, maintains its servers and paper files in locked premises, and restricts employees and contractors who have access to personal information to those having a “need to know” and who are bound by confidentiality obligations. When destroying personal information, we delete electronically stored personal information and shred any tangible materials containing personal information. While we will endeavour to destroy all copies of personal information, you acknowledge that deleted information may continue to exist on back-up media but will not be used unless permitted by law. 

Video Warrior Programs will continually review and update its security policies and controls as technology evolves, however no security technology can be guaranteed to be failsafe. As a result, while Video Warrior Programs strives to protect its users’ personal information, no company, including Video Warrior Programs, can fully eliminate security risks associated with personal information.  You agree that your use of the Services and transmission of any information is at your own risk.  Video Warrior Programs cannot warrant the security of any information that is transmitted to or from us. Similarly, Video Warrior Programs cannot guarantee that its hosted email will be secure at all times, nor can we be responsible for the actions of any third parties who might receive such information. As such, users are advised not to provide sensitive personal information through the site or via subsequent email correspondence with Video Warrior Programs.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Video Warrior Programs may use “cookies”, “web beacons” or similar technologies to enhance the quality of this site. When a user visits the site, Video Warrior Programs may place a “cookie” on the hard drive of the user’s computer to allow us to track and analyze the user’s use of the site, and to enable the use of certain content management systems. “Cookies” are a technology that installs small data files on a website user’s computer to permit the web server to differentiate users, and to pass information from page to page during a single user’s website session. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if a user does not wish to have cookies on the user’s system, the user can adjust browser settings to decline them or to alert the user when cookies are being sent.  If a user declines cookies the user will still be able to use the site, but that user’s ability to access certain features of the site may be affected.  Video Warrior Programs may use “web beacons,” sometimes referred to as “clear gifs” or “web bugs,” to help personalize your experience on the site.  Web beacons are typically invisible to you, and are generally embedded in very small clear graphics files. Video Warrior Programs may use web beacons to monitor certain non-personally identifiable information about you, including the URL of the page from which the web beacon originated, the type of browser used, the IP address of your computer, and the time you viewed the web beacon. We may use web beacons to assist our advertising partners in providing advertising content. Web beacons are also used to allow us and our partners to determine how many people view the web pages and/or clicked through, and to assist in serving and managing content.  While web beacons do not collect personal information, the information collected by them may be used in conjunction with Cookies to identify aggregate information about users of the site. 

Accuracy / Access

Video Warrior Programs has a responsibility to ensure that all personal information contained in our records or which is disclosed to third parties for the purposes described above is accurate, complete and up-to-date. Users may make a request in writing for access to their personal information. Video Warrior Programs will inform a user of that user’s personal information held by Video Warrior Programs, and provide an account of the use that has been made of the information, as well as identify any third parties to which the information has been disclosed. A user may have reasonable access to his or her personal information, and if a user demonstrates the inaccuracy or incompleteness of personal information, the information will be amended as appropriate. Users should advise Video Warrior Programs immediately if they discover inaccuracies in our data or if their personal information changes, or if they wish to have their information removed from our files. Governing Law

You agree that your access to and use of the Services and this website, including this Policy, is governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein (excluding conflicts or choice of laws principles).
